POST /reports
Generates a security report. Reports are compiled asynchronously and available for download when complete. Requires reports:write scope. Response: {"id": "rpt_abc", "status": "generating", "type": "vulnerability_summary", "estimated_completion": "2026-01-30T10:05:00Z"}. Poll GET /reports/:id for status updates. Reports typically complete within 30 seconds for single-project scopes and up to 5 minutes for organization-wide reports with trend analysis.
POST /reports/schedules
Creates a recurring report schedule. Reports are generated automatically and delivered to configured recipients. Supported frequencies: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly. Weekly reports include a day field (monday-sunday). Monthly reports include a day_of_month field (1-28). Quarterly reports are generated on the first day of each quarter. All scheduled reports include a comparison with the previous period to highlight trends.
GET /reports/:id/download
Returns a presigned download URL for a completed report. The URL expires after 24 hours. Response: {"download_url": "https://reports.example.com/rpt_abc.pdf?sig=...", "expires_at": "2026-01-31T10:00:00Z", "file_size_bytes": 245760}. PDF reports include charts, tables, and executive summaries suitable for board-level presentations. HTML reports include interactive elements and drill-down links. JSON reports provide machine-readable data for integration with custom dashboards.
Reports older than 90 days are archived and may take up to 1 hour to regenerate. Request archived reports via POST /reports/:id/restore, which returns the report to active storage and provides a new download URL.
